Politics in times of catastrophe (4)

Canicule/Heat Wave (VIDEO)

From lundi matin #218 (25/11/2019)

Every day the catastrophe grows

The political game of alternatives has come to an end

Europe has totally closed its borders

Governments only hold on with their police

The big media are running out of arguments

This scenario is not in an IPCC* report

One will not read in an IPCC report that the police will be more

violent as the temperature rises.

One will not be read in an IPCC report that Europe will be more

fascist as glaciers melt.

One will not be read in an IPCC report that capitalism will be more authoritarian and destructive as drought increases.

One will not be read in an IPCC report that exploitation will be more violent as soils die.

One will not read in an IPCC report that the last remnants of public services

will be sacrificed in the financial pump as hurricanes,

tornadoes and storms multiply.

There is nothing more to demand from those who govern.

Nothing.

Everywhere, they hastily organise their last acts of predation.

They hurry, they accelerate, they devastate.

The damage is enormous.

They need the police.

Massively armed, massively fascist, the police

imposes its conditions.

They have nothing more to promise than an ever more repressive security.

Every day the catastrophe grows.

Nobody wants a devastated and fascist world, and yet this

world is taking shape, here, now.

It’s not a question of preparing for the collapse, before the collapse

But

For the revolt

For the uprisings

For the riots

For the Strikes

For the Blockages

For the the barricades

For the defence of what can be saved

For solidarity.

The disaster is on a global scale

repression is on a global scale

Fascism is on a global scale

Predation is on a global scale

The riots

The revolts

The uprisings

Will take place everywhere.

Life is not worth living in a

world like this, without battling against it.

Governments are at their limits

Held up in their fortresses

The police are certainly equipped, it is certainly violent

But it will not be able, given the number and the intensity, to hold their positions for a long.

Independent media flourish

The state press and the press for money sink daily into

nothingness.

ZADs multiply

The lies of power are every day more enormous,

ruder, without nets.

No one any longer believes.

No solution is to be hoped for.

From whom to expect solutions?

The game is over.

Europe has totally closed its borders
